Educated at Brookes University, Oxford, Ben has continuously pursued personal professional development through attending short courses courses, covering topics, including; Energy Performance, Construction Design and Management, Business Management, Project Management, Time Management and has achieved his Advanced Communicator Silver and Competent Leader award in Toastmasters International in order to improve his presentation and communication skills to benefit the company and its clients.
Ben has historically and presently, worn many hats within voluntary organisations, these include providing guidance as chair of the steering group for a Centre of Vocational Excellence, which became the most highly acclaimed project of its type in the UK, is a past Chairman of Bicester and District Chamber of Commerce, Past President of Bicester Achievers, a community Governor at both a secondary school and a Special School and a past co-opted member of Children’s Scrutiny for Oxfordshire County Council. In 2004 he successfully organised and ran the first Bicester Business to Business Exhibition, repeating this in 2007.
Design & Production Director: Keith Hickman
Keith’s career embraces Art Direction, Design and Production Management in the UK, Yemen and Kuwait, working for publishing houses as well as independently.
His previous placements include:
Morgan Grampian - Art Editor, working on titles including Over 21, Pulse and Hi Fi for Pleasure.
IPC – Freelancing, working on titles including Woman’s Realm and Homes & Gardens.
AGB Publications – Production Manager working on titles including Performance Car
Adis International – Production Director for this solely medical content based publisher
Theatre Print – Art Director and Production Manager, working on West End Theatre programmes
In these positions his responsibilities have included setting up design studios, and establishing pre-press protocols. In the 1980’s, he spent four years running a print and paper conversion factory in Bahrain.
Keith has attracted a number of people with complementary skills to work with him, when required, and as a result, has handled work for such organisations as Albert Abela Group, British American Tobacco, Defence Evaluation & Research Agency – a part of the Ministry of Defence, John Laing, Ortronics and Staffordshire County Council, as well as professional clients such as Applied Communications and John Lewis PR. Keith’s years of experience with Theatre print still attracts work from his former employer as well as from David Pugh Theatre Productions.
Outputs range from magazines and brochures to point of sale, corporate identities and product branding, advertising and theatre programmes.
